Start together. One of you creates a game and shares the 4-letter room code; the other joins with it.
Pick a secret number. Each of you locks in a 4-digit number — all 4 digits must be different. Keep it hidden!
Take turns guessing. After each guess you're told: Digits how many of your digits exist in their number, and Places how many are in the exact right spot.
Use notes. Add a private note to any of your guesses to track your deductions — the other player can never see them.
Crack it to win. First to get all 4 places wins. Chances are always equal: if the player who went first cracks it, the other player gets one last guess to force a draw.
